Strong Response to Second Call of the FutureFoodS Partnership: 224 Pre-Proposals Submitted

The second co-funded call of the FutureFoodS Partnership has received an outstanding response, with 224 pre-proposals submitted across the three call topics. This strong participation highlights the high level of engagement from the research and innovation community in accelerating the transition towards sustainable food systems.

 

More than 1,400 research actors have joined forces to develop innovative project ideas. The partnership sincerely thanks all participating researchers, as well as the national and regional funding agencies for their guidance and support to the consortia. Special appreciation also goes to the dedicated teams of experts who are ready to evaluate this impressive number of submissions.

 

This second call brings together 33 funding organisations from 20 countries, in collaboration with the European Commission. Together, they are committing up to €39 million to support research and innovation projects that will contribute to building a more sustainable food future.

This strong momentum confirms the key role of FutureFoodS in fostering collaboration and driving innovation across Europe’s food systems.
